Day 01 – Arrival New Delhi Airport to
Haridwar
As you step into the city of Haridwar you’ll be welcomed
with the chimes of the temple bells and the religious chanting of the priests.
The
Haridwar city has a religious significance as the holy river Ganga enters the
Indo-Gangetic Plains of North India for the first time in Haridwar. Thereby making its
former name 'Gangadwara' perfect in every sense. Overnight stay
Day 02 – Haridwar to Barkot
The holy tour begins from Haridwar. On arrival at Haridwar proceed towards Barkot.
After reaching Barkot complete your check-in formalities at the hotel and relax. Enjoy a
delicious dinner at night and have a sound sleep.
Day 03 – Barkot – Janakichtti – Yamunotri
to Barkot
Today, bit early in the morning drive to Janki Chatti.
From here start trek to Yamunotri. Either by walk or by mule or by palanquin on own
expenses.
Yamunotri is the source of the sacred river Yamuna that originates
from the glacial lake of Saptarishi Kund, at an altitude of 4,421 meters. Dedicated to
capricious Goddess Yamuna, this ancient temple has been a pilgrimage for centuries.
Starting at Rishikesh, the yatra takes the pilgrim through some of the most beautiful
panoramas, and eventually on the 14 kilometer arduous trek from Hanuman Chatti that is
not merely visually and physically stimulating but spiritually uplifting. After visiting
the temple return to hotel in Barkort. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Barkot.
Day 04 - Barkot to Uttarkashi
Today morning after breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi. En-route visits the Shiv Gufa at
Mahargaon.
Shiv Gufa is a naturally formed cave at Mehargaon on the Yamunotri –
Uttarkashi Road. In the cave, one can see a naturally formed Shivling – water naturally
falls on top of it continuously. The Gufa also has naturally formed ice sculptors of
Shiva, Ganesha, Trishul, Lotus and Om. The Cave is filled with knee deep water. Only
four people can stand at a time in the cave. You can hear the sounds of water falling in
the cave.
After visiting the cave continue your drive to Uttarkashi. Upon arrival,
check in at hotel. Overnight is at the hotel in Barkot. In the evening visit Vishwanath
Temple at Uttarkashi town.
The Viswanath Temple is the most important and ancient
holy shrine in this region. Of the many temples in Uttarkashi, the temple of Lord
Vishwanath is unrivalled in importance. Shiva, the presiding deity of this temple, is
worshipped all day here. Every evening, visitors are greeted by the sound of bells, and
the chanting of mantras by pundits at the puja. Within the courtyard of the Vishwanath
temple, and to the front of it, is the Shakti Temple, dedicated to the goddess of
strength. The massive brass trident projecting from this temple bears an inscription
describing how the Vishwanath Temple was built. According to it, the temple was built by
King Ganeshwar, whose son Guh, a great warrior, built the trident. 26 feet high, this
trident's base measures 8 feet 9 inches, and its top, 18'/2 inches in circumference.
Day 05 - Uttarkashi To Gangotri to
Uttarkashi
Early morning after breakfast, drive to Gangotri. On
the way visit Gangnani Hot Spring. Take a holy dip in Kund. Later drive to Gangotri via
beautiful Harsil valley. On arrival at Gangotri, take a holy dip in the sacred river
Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja and Darshan, after
that relax for some time in the lovely surroundings. Later return drive to Uttarkashi.
Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Day 06 - Uttarkashi to
Guptkashi
Morning after breakfast, drive to Guptkashi. Enroute you
can see the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakini River comes from
Kedarnath, drive alongside the river to reach Guptakashi, visit Ardh Narishwar Temple in
Guptakashi. Check into the hotel arrival in Guptkashi. Overnight stay at Guptkashi.
Day 07 - Guptkashi to Sonprayag to
Kedarnath
Morning after breakfast, today we will go to Kedarnath.
To reach Kedarnath you will have two options. One if by trekking and other is by Air via
Helicopter ( at your own cost ).
Day 08 - Kedarnath to Sonprayag to
Karnprayag
Morning enjoy the after breakfast, drive for
Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Visit on the way Darshan of Vishu Praya, Narsingh Temple In
Joshimath, Karan Prayag and Nand Prayag. Check into the hotel arrival in Rudraprayag.
Overnight stay at Rudraprayag. (Meals: Breakfast and Dinner)
Day 09 - Karnprayag to
Badrinath
The morning savor some toothsome breakfast and checkout
from the hotel around 8:00 am. Today, you will be transferred to Badrinath via
Joshimath. After reaching Badrinath complete your check-in formalities and have some
refreshments. Later in the evening, you visit the Badrinath shrine. Pre-darshan have a
blissful dip at the sacred Tapt Kund, which is a hot water spring. Badrinath is one of
the most prominent pilgrimage sites among Hindus, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The
temple of Badrinath is a beauty to behold, it has a height of around 15 meters and the
main deity inside the temple is Lord Vishnu. Post darshan back to the hotel and unwind.
Enjoy dinner and surrender yourself to the dream world.
Day 10 - Badrinath to
Rudraprayag
Start your day with a hot spring bath and pay a visit
to Badrinath Temple for Darshan and morning aarti. Later, return to the hotel and enjoy
some delicious breakfast. After your breakfast, enjoy the local sightseeing in
Badrinath. Visit attractions such as Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Mata
Murti temple. Later, in the afternoon after sightseeing, check out from the hotel and
head towards Rudraprayag via Karanprayag. After reaching the Rudraprayag, complete your
check-in formalities at the hotel and relax. Explore the town, enjoy shopping, or simply
relax at the hotel. Enjoy the dinner, and have a restful sleep.
Day 11 - Rudraprayag to
Haridwar
Morning after breakfast, After Sightseeing drive for
Haridwar / Dehradun / Rishikesh. Rishikesh 'place of sages' is a celebrated spiritual
town on the bank of Ganga. It is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three
sides. Drop at Hotel / Airport / railway station.
